Love the cake. Happy to have this anniversary behing us. Looking forward to return to normal this year. You were so brave and didn't reveal your pain all year. You make the old man proud.

Oops! I'm so used to leaving bogus emails, it never occurred to me that I actually *want* to be contacted in this case...thanks for the fast follow up and glad to hear Holly's on the mend. :)

I stumbled across your blog today and rapidly consumed its archives in their entirety. I am a 33yo vegetarian mother of one that was diagnosed with a T3/N1 rectal tumor at the end of November. Obviously, I read about your treatment progress with great interest. While it looks like I have an incredibly long row to hoe (with only 7 chemoradiation treatments under my belt thusfar), it's very helpful for me to get a peek into what the next year or so might look for me.

Thank you so much for telling your story/stories and best of luck with your continued recovery. :)

PS: Any advice you can give to someone about to embark on a colorectal cancer year would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Hi -

I stumbled upon your blog when reading my co-worker's (Kate Thaxton). My brother was diagnosed with Stage IIIB colo-rectal cancer in May 2006 at the age of 50. Like you, he went through about 9 months of chemo. He is doing GREAT! Every CAT scan, chest x-ray, colonscopy, etc...has been picture perfect. He was running up and down the bleachers at Duke University about a month after he finished his treatments. So, hang in there Holly...there just might be some bleacher running in your future!

Merry Christmas Schnaars family. My family sends their love and best wishes for a better New Year. I have had that North American cold three times and yes, it is not fun. I am glad to hear Holly is feeling better. I should go, I think I hear Santa!!!
